<p>Lack of consideration can cause frustration for you, but it can also remind you to do your part in making the lives of others around you better. When you do, you&#8217;ll feel better about yourself and you&#8217;ll feel far less frustrated about the things going on around you.</p>
<p>Common courtesy has the power to lift your mood and make those around you happier at the same time.</p>
<p>Do your part to make someone smile by offering common courtesy. It&#8217;s simple and requires no investment of time or money on your part, just a little respect and consideration! <span id="more-576"></span></p>
<p>By putting others ahead of yourself in small ways, you can experience a powerful connection with the people around you. And it all begins with common courtesy!</p>
<p><strong>Please and Thank You</strong></p>
<p>If you develop the habit of saying please and thank you, you&#8217;ll experience amazing benefits in all of your relationships. This is a simple way to show you care and that you appreciate the things people do for you. Your spouse will feel more loved. Your children will learn that you value them. The cashier at the grocery store will feel appreciated.</p>
<p>Instead of demanding what you want, ask in a calm tone of voice and say please. When someone does something for you, say thank you. These small changes don&#8217;t cost anything, but these words have the power to revolutionize your relationships.</p>
<p><strong>Let Someone in Ahead of You While Driving.</strong></p>
<p>Want an easy way to put yourself in a good frame of mind on your way to and from work? Leave the house a few minutes early. Look for an opportunity to let someone in ahead of you at a traffic light on the way. You&#8217;ll put a smile on their face and feel less frazzled at the same time.</p>
<p>Put some pleasing music on the radio and relax! When you see someone attempting to get into your lane, ease up on the gas pedal and give them some room to get in. You&#8217;ll still get there on time, but you&#8217;ll feel less stressed because of your new attitude.</p>
<p><strong>Let the Other Person Speak</strong></p>
<p>In conversation, you likely spend the majority of the time thinking about what you&#8217;re going to say next. As a result, you may end up interrupting or creating resentment in the other person and failing to hear most of what they&#8217;re saying.</p>
<p>Instead, let the other person speak without interrupting them. After they&#8217;re finished, ensure you understand what they&#8217;ve told you before you proceed. In addition to avoiding frustration and hurt feelings, you&#8217;ll often solve problems in less time by reducing misunderstandings.</p>
<p>With a few small steps, you can feel good about yourself and your contribution to the happiness of the people around you. In addition, common courtesy has the power to shift your focus from yourself to others. When you focus on others, you&#8217;ll feel a greater sense of happiness and self-confidence as a result.</p>

Coming face to face with the majesty of creation causes the burdens of my heart to lift away. Physically moving my body from inside to outside activates a shift in my emotional state.</p>
<p>The picture displayed in the sky can never be duplicated. The view found in nature is more beautiful than any painting an artist could create. Each time I look above the clouds, I see a striking new scene. From that beauty, I draw inspiration for life. </p>
<p>Unlike in the predictable indoors, the sights, smells, and sounds are different every time I go outside. The freshness of the outdoors prompts my discovery.<span id="more-590"></span></p>
<p>I seize every opportunity to be outside because I enjoy spending time outdoors. There is something about being outdoors that melts away the stress that is contained within four walls. A change of scenery refreshes my soul.</p>
<p>Outdoors, I can meditate, breathe, and exercise. Long walks in nature surpass walking on a treadmill at the gym any day. I forget my troubles when I connect with nature.</p>
<p>Breathing in fresh air is healthy for me. When I breathe in deeply and slowly, I fill my lungs with air and increase the oxygen flow to my brain. I am able to clear my mind just by taking a breath of fresh air.</p>
<p>Today, I choose to delight in the beauty of nature while spending time outdoors. I appreciate the scenery and the effect it has on me. </p>
<p><strong>Self-Reflection Questions:</strong></p>
<p>1.	What can I gain from spending a few minutes gazing at the sky today?<br />
2.	How is taking a walk outdoors better than going to the gym?<br />
3.	How can I benefit from breathing fresh air deeply?</p>

<p>Just saying that you&#8217;re sorry may be enough if it&#8217;s sincere. If you&#8217;ve really hurt a person&#8217;s feelings, though, you might want to say more. How long should your apology be? It should last as long as it takes to communicate sincerity and honesty. </p>
<p>The most important part of any apology is sincerity. Others can tell when your words are insincere. And an insincere apology usually makes the situation worse.</p>
<p>Express a willingness to accept your part of the blame. Some words you can use are:</p>
<p>•	I&#8217;m sorry.<br />
•	I apologize.<br />
•	Please forgive me.<br />
•	I know I&#8217;ve wronged you.<br />
•	I hate that this has come between us.<br />
•	What can I do to make things right?<br />
•	Can we talk out our differences?<br />
•	Please let me explain.</p>
<p>If you open the conversation this way, you demonstrate that you truly want to make things better. Swallowing your pride and admitting that you&#8217;ve wronged someone is easier than you think. Most will be receptive to your desire to repair the relationship and respond in a way that brings healing to both of you.</p>
<p><strong>Find an Opportune Time to Apologize</strong></p>
<p>The timing of your apology is critical. Take a time when the other person isn&#8217;t rushed. Even the most careful apology will fall on deaf ears if it is delivered at a time when the other person is hurried and focused on something else.</p>
<p>Ideally, make an appointment. Let them know that you have something important to discuss at their convenience. That way, you&#8217;re more likely to receive their undivided attention and have better results with your apology.</p>
<p>Be flexible and work around the other person&#8217;s schedule. Your willingness to be inconvenienced to accommodate the other person&#8217;s schedule is an important first step in communicating that you are sincere in your apology. </p>
<p>Show that you mean what you say, and follow it up with actions that demonstrate the truthfulness of your words. Actions speak louder than words, and what you do shortly after your apology can do more to heal your relationship than any words you can say.</p>
<p>Hurt feelings are an unfortunate part of the important relationships in your life. Thankfully, a thoughtful apology that considers the other person&#8217;s viewpoint can heal wounds that are caused by your mistakes. If you follow through with actions that show your sincerity, you stand an excellent chance of success in repairing the relationship and even making it stronger than ever before!</p>

<p>Getting outside of your comfort zone doesn&#8217;t always mean taking giant steps or doing something crazy. Expanding your comfort zone can mean small changes. For example, read a book you usually wouldn&#8217;t pick up, learn about something that challenges your viewpoint, or take a language course. Do things that are different than your ordinary daily routine.<span id="more-547"></span></p>
<p><strong>Small Ways to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone</strong></p>
<p>To begin experiencing the joy you deserve, stretch yourself!</p>
<p>Here are some ideas you can use to help yourself expand your comfort zone:</p>
<p>•	Take a walk around part of your neighborhood that you don&#8217;t normally visit.<br />
•	Go to a different store to shop for your groceries, clothes, or other items.<br />
•	Talk with a neighbor or introduce yourself to people who are new to the neighborhood.<br />
•	Sign up for a college class or an online course in something.<br />
•	Take an art, acting, or dance class. You&#8217;ll meet new people and learn a new skill. </p>
<p>You can increase your comfort zone in many ways. If you want to create more joy, think about things you like to do or want to learn about. Expanding your comfort zone is about doing things you like. It&#8217;s about showing yourself that you can do more than you thought you could.</p>
<p><strong>Moving on to Bigger Things</strong></p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve taken small steps outside your comfort zone, seek to stretch your boundaries further with greater challenges. If you&#8217;re shy, get to know your neighbors. To go further, throw a party or have a backyard barbecue. You&#8217;ll enjoy some time with others in your neighborhood while expanding your limits. </p>
<p>Take a drama class, then participate in a play or join an amateur competition to stretch yourself further. These challenges may seem daunting to you, but others in the class will be nervous also. And it&#8217;s okay to be a little nervous sometimes. It shows that you&#8217;re growing and developing as a person. It shows that you want to live life to the fullest.</p>
<p><strong>Avoid Trying Too Much Too Fast</strong></p>
<p>If you try to do too many things at once, you may become so nervous that you miss the joy that comes from stretching your inner boundaries. Instead, you may experience frustration and lack motivation to venture outside of your comfort zone again. Take small steps at first, and the success you experience will fuel your drive toward bigger challenges. </p>
<p>To be truly happy, you must be proactive in seeking the life you desire. If you challenge yourself with activities you enjoy, leaving your comfort zone can lead you to the life of passion and fulfillment that you deserve!</p>

You get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, and watch TV until you go to bed. You wash, rinse, and repeat. Are you tired of the same ol&#8217; boring routine?</p>
<p>The good news is that you don’t have to settle for a life of boredom and repetition. It takes very little to overcome your stale routine and experience more joy. Sometimes, a night alone in front of the television is the perfect way to unwind. However, sometimes you crave something a little out of the ordinary. Thankfully, there are many things you can do about it.</p>
<p><strong>Try one of these boredom-busting activities to liven up your day:</strong> </p>
<p>1.	Spend Time With A Friend. Sometimes, the best way to cure boredom is to visit a friend you haven&#8217;t <span id="more-558"></span>seen in a while. Catch up on old times and talk about the things that are important to both of you. Do something together that you both enjoy. Choose an activity you haven&#8217;t done in a while and reconnect. </p>
<p>•	Even when you&#8217;re feeling down and you&#8217;d rather be alone, try visiting a friend. Often, even a short visit can bring an unexpected feeling of joy. Plus, you&#8217;ll be doing something active instead of sitting at home and feeling blue about your challenges.</p>
<p>2.	Hit the Driving Range. Even if you’re not a golfer, hitting a bucket of golf balls as far as you can provides tremendous stress relief. Go with some friends and have a blast! When you get outdoors in the sunshine, your focus is bound to change and your perspective on life will be a much happier one.</p>
<p>3.	Visit Libraries and Bookstores. If you prefer peace and quiet, experience adventure without ever leaving your own familiar area. Visit your local library or a bookstore that encourages you to sit down and read. Many bookstores now offer coffee shops inside and comfortable chairs for those who want to sit a while. </p>
<p>•	Learn a new skill or engross yourself in a novel that takes your mind far away from the mundane cares of your everyday life.</p>
<p>•	You can even meet new people while you&#8217;re perusing the literature. Strike up a conversation with someone who has similar interests. You may just meet a new best friend who goes on to introduce you to many more exciting activities.</p>
<p>4.	Play Board Games. With the rise of video games and other forms of electronic entertainment, you may have forgotten how much fun board games can be!</p>
<p>•	Enjoy a few laughs with friends or family and your favorite board games of the past. Or try some of the newer board games. Whether the games are old or new, you&#8217;ll still make some great memories!</p>
<p>If you want to spice up your life and experience something different, the options available to you are endless. The only limit is an unwillingness to leave your comfort zone. If you&#8217;re proactive about getting out and enjoying some new experiences, you&#8217;ll be rewarded with a deeper connection to the world around you and a greater satisfaction with your life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Summer is a time to go outside and soak up the beauty of nature. After a long winter, I am determined to enjoy my summer vacation time. Nothing gets in my way of having a good time in the sun. </p>
<p>I make a mental inventory of all the things I love about my body. I start with my genuine smile. My smile radiates the confidence I feel in my soul. My confidence is what makes the real splash.</p>
<p>When I am out in the sun, I am concerned with getting a nice tan and having a good time. The shape of my body is the farthest thought from my mind. The beach is far from a body-judging contest; it is a place to lay back.<span id="more-579"></span></p>
<p>In front of the mirror, I look myself in the eye and speak words of affirmation to myself. I am beautiful from the inside out. The beauty inside me radiates through my face and overtakes my appearance.</p>
<p>I am relaxed about my looks. Time spent in the sun is mean to be fun without thinking about my body. Everyone has a feature that they dislike about their own figure. I refrain from being critical of others the same way that I want them to overlook my imperfections.</p>
<p>Today, I choose to relax about my looks by accepting my body the way it is and dressing it with confidence. I focus on having fun and I shut out any thoughts of comparison.</p>

2.	How can I choose a swimsuit that flatters my body type?<br />
3.	Why is it important to have a positive self-image?</p>

<p>Yes, the best life coach just may be the one that&#8217;s inside you! After all, no one knows you better than you do. </p>
<p>As your own life coach, you can set your life on a different path. You may end up discovering things about yourself that you never knew were there. These discoveries can make you happy and bring you more success and fulfillment than you&#8217;ve ever known before. </p>
<p>Your path in coaching yourself may not be the same as that of another coach, but as long as you&#8217;re making positive steps forward, you&#8217;ll achieve the goals you desire.<span id="more-493"></span></p>
<p>Follow these tips for a positive experience in being your own life coach:</p>
<p><strong>1.	Write down your expectations.</strong> Figure out exactly what you want to accomplish in your &#8220;sessions&#8221; with yourself. Do you have certain expectations? Explore how you&#8217;re going to meet those expectations.</p>
<p><strong>2.	Give yourself adequate time.</strong> Just as with another life coach, give yourself time to sort through your thoughts and make plans. Have meetings with yourself and go over an agenda of items that you can reflect on.</p>
<p><strong>3.	List your positive attributes.</strong> A life coach focuses on the positive. Leave your negativity at the door and think about all the things that you like about yourself. Make a list of the things you&#8217;re good at, you&#8217;re happy about, and you&#8217;d like to accomplish in life.</p>
<p><strong>4.	Concentrate on the end goal.</strong> Determine your life purpose and draft a plan to help fulfill that purpose. You might have more than one goal in mind, and if so, plan for all of your goals. Keep that end goal in mind at all times and picture yourself getting there.</p>
<p><strong>5.	Discover how to motivate yourself.</strong> Since you know yourself best, you&#8217;ll be able to figure out which motivators work best on you. What has motivated you to accomplish tasks in the past? Use these motivation techniques in order to keep yourself on track so that you don&#8217;t fall victim to procrastination.</p>
<p><strong>6.	Make changes.</strong> If you&#8217;ve identified changes that you want to make in your life, now&#8217;s the time to plan those changes. Rather than jumping into drastic changes all at once, guide yourself through a series of smaller changes for greater success. </p>
<p><strong>7.	Check up on yourself.</strong> Hold yourself accountable to you, as your coach, at regular intervals. Are you happy and on the path to achieving your goals? If not, where are you currently lacking? During a check up with yourself, you can identify problems before they get too big. Then you can set yourself onto the right path again.</p>

In the process, you&#8217;ll learn some beneficial skills that will help you for your entire lifetime. You may find that you&#8217;ve become more self-sufficient. <p>A little positive reinforcement can go a long way in boosting your self-assurance. Self-talk that supports your goals will have a greater impact on boosting your overall self image than the opinions of others.<span id="more-550"></span></p>
<p><strong>You are the Master of your Fate</strong></p>
<p>Do you feel that your life is lacking in some area? If you&#8217;re experiencing challenges romantically, professionally, or in any other area of life, know that you are the key to changing it. Instead of placing blame on yourself and feeling defeated, realize that you are your greatest chance to effect change that leads to success in any aspect of your life.  </p>
<p><strong>You Can Do It</strong></p>
<p>Are you plagued with self-doubt? Do you feel like you&#8217;re not up to the challenges that life throws your way? In reality, your spirit is capable of achieving greatness when you exercise your willpower and back it up with positive, encouraging reinforcement. If you believe that you can succeed, and put in the effort, you will succeed.</p>
<p>One of the problems with doubt in your own abilities is that it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. You think you’re going to fail and so your mind sets out to reinforce that idea. Your thoughts lead to actions that produce detrimental results. </p>
<p>But this can work the other way, too. By telling yourself that you can succeed, you create a self-fulfilling prophecy that supports your success.</p>
<p><strong>Positive Reinforcement is Optimistic</strong></p>
<p>When you believe that you can succeed, you&#8217;ll feel more confident to take the steps that are required to overcome the challenges you face. With positive reinforcement, even failures become opportunities to learn and grow.</p>
<p>You can replace the voice in your head that causes you fear with one that pushes you forward by focusing on the good within yourself.</p>
<p>Convince yourself that you&#8217;re capable of greatness by replacing negative thoughts with more productive self-talk. Then, when you do achieve your goal or overcome that challenge, you&#8217;ll have an additional dose of confidence that will spur you on to greater success.</p>
<p><strong>Cue the Music!</strong></p>
<p>For big challenges, support yourself as much as possible. In addition to speaking words of encouragement to yourself, consider playing some music to pump you up. Whether it’s the theme to Rocky or Europe’s The Final Countdown, music can boost your self-belief and ease your worries.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t have an MP3 or CD player handy, hum your favorite songs while you prepare. Inspirational tunes can make you feel like you can take on any challenge. </p>
<p>Your mind plays a large part determining the level of success you experience. Tell yourself that you can do it. Positive self-talk will increase your confidence in your own abilities. When you add the drive and willpower, you can achieve anything you want in life!</p>

<p>Conversations keep your mind sharp. Physical games keep your body active and fit. For a balanced lifestyle that promotes your happiness, include activities with others that keep you sharp physically and mentally. </p>
<p><strong>Staying Mentally Fit This Summer</strong></p>
<p>Summer is a great time to be outside. But when the rain comes or the temperatures become too hot for outdoor activity, summer provides you with a chance to relax and develop your mind instead. <span id="more-561"></span></p>
<p>When your body is physically worn out from the longer days and physical activity of summer, go inside for mental games that challenge your creativity, focus and concentration. That way, your mind will experience the same summer growth and renewal as your body. </p>
<p>When the heat of the day gives way to the nighttime sky, play games with friends around a campfire. Relax on the beach under the stars. Enjoy stimulating conversation with those you love about the things that are important to you. Whether at play or rest, you&#8217;re never far away from an opportunity to learn and grow. </p>
<p>Not sure what you can do to increase your mental fitness this summer? It&#8217;s easy to forget some of the mentally challenging activities you have available at this time of year. Here are a few life-giving choices you might not have considered: </p>
<p>•	Go shopping with friends for games to play together.<br />
•	Debate an issue that you&#8217;re passionate about. (No need to fight, though!)<br />
•	Ask others to share something that&#8217;s important to them.<br />
•	Talk about any aspect of life that you deem important.<br />
•	Discuss the potential existence of an afterlife.<br />
•	Learn something related to science together.<br />
•	Take a class to learn a new skill or a new language together.</p>
<p>The key to making the most of this summer is to take advantage of the social opportunities around you. Stretch your imagination and act as if it&#8217;s impossible for you to fail. The fitness and happiness you desire can be yours if you take full advantage of the companionship of others in the warm summer heat. </p>
<p><strong>Balance Physical Activities With Mental Inspiration</strong></p>
<p>Summer is the season to be physically active in the outdoors. Beach volleyball, running, and playing in the park are popular activities that get your heart pumping and your body moving. But slowing down once in a while is important, too. </p>
<p>A picnic with friends, for example, can provide stimulating conversation that keeps your mind sharp and active while giving your body the rest that it needs to thrive. The key is to balance activity for your body with relaxation and mental stimulation. </p>
<p>Spending time with others allows you to learn more about them and connect with them on a deeper level than you ever thought possible. Seek opportunities to share your summer with others.
