He was talking about the game of baseball, of course, but your attitude determines your altitude in every area of your life. Your thoughts determine your destiny!

A can-do attitude and a healthy dose of self-confidence is all you need to succeed. You, too, can be one of those go-getters who achieve great things.

A little positive reinforcement can go a long way in boosting your self-assurance. Self-talk that supports your goals will have a greater impact on boosting your overall self image than the opinions of others.

You are the Master of your Fate

Do you feel that your life is lacking in some area? If you’re experiencing challenges romantically, professionally, or in any other area of life, know that you are the key to changing it. Instead of placing blame on yourself and feeling defeated, realize that you are your greatest chance to effect change that leads to success in any aspect of your life.

You Can Do It

Are you plagued with self-doubt? Do you feel like you’re not up to the challenges that life throws your way? In reality, your spirit is capable of achieving greatness when you exercise your willpower and back it up with positive, encouraging reinforcement. If you believe that you can succeed, and put in the effort, you will succeed.

One of the problems with doubt in your own abilities is that it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. You think you’re going to fail and so your mind sets out to reinforce that idea. Your thoughts lead to actions that produce detrimental results.

But this can work the other way, too. By telling yourself that you can succeed, you create a self-fulfilling prophecy that supports your success.

Positive Reinforcement is Optimistic

When you believe that you can succeed, you’ll feel more confident to take the steps that are required to overcome the challenges you face. With positive reinforcement, even failures become opportunities to learn and grow.

You can replace the voice in your head that causes you fear with one that pushes you forward by focusing on the good within yourself.

Convince yourself that you’re capable of greatness by replacing negative thoughts with more productive self-talk. Then, when you do achieve your goal or overcome that challenge, you’ll have an additional dose of confidence that will spur you on to greater success.

Cue the Music!

For big challenges, support yourself as much as possible. In addition to speaking words of encouragement to yourself, consider playing some music to pump you up. Whether it’s the theme to Rocky or Europe’s The Final Countdown, music can boost your self-belief and ease your worries.

If you don’t have an MP3 or CD player handy, hum your favorite songs while you prepare. Inspirational tunes can make you feel like you can take on any challenge.

Your mind plays a large part determining the level of success you experience. Tell yourself that you can do it. Positive self-talk will increase your confidence in your own abilities. When you add the drive and willpower, you can achieve anything you want in life!

Do you feel powerless to change yourself into the confident person you deserve to be?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, the good news is that strengthening your self-confidence is a task you really can accomplish with a little know-how and some easy strategies to show you the way. As you’ll soon find out, some of these strategies are even fun!

Although your metamorphosis may not happen overnight, if you apply these strategies consistently, you’ll be able to build up your self-confidence a little more each day. Make it a point to implement at least one confidence-boosting technique every day.

Soon, these techniques will become habits, and your spirits will soar as your self-confidence rises to new heights.

Use these effective strategies to give your self-confidence a boost:

1.	Have realistic expectations. Even though it’s important to aim high in life, if your expectations are totally unrealistic, you’ll never know what it feels like to reach your goals. However, when you routinely succeed with realistic goals, it brings you great confidence.

•	Tweak your expectations until you find a sweet spot where you’re still pushing yourself, but you’re also able to achieve. Once you know what it feels like to accomplish your goals, you’ll feel more confident that you can achieve whatever you set out to do.

2.	Surround yourself with positive people. They have a contagious, positive energy that lifts you up and encourages you, while negative people tend to bring you down and destroy your confidence. Build up your confidence by hanging around with positive people who make you feel good!

3.	Develop your skills and talents. Perhaps your self-confidence suffers because you feel unsure about your abilities. Everyone, including you, has certain skills and talents that showcase the things they do well. Keep developing these talents and you’ll find that your self-confidence will grow as you excel in these areas.

4.	Stick up for yourself. When others speak out against you, remember that those words are simply their opinion. Your opinion is just as important. When you do what you know is right for you, feel confident that you’ve made the right decision, regardless of how others may feel.

5.	Exercise or engage in physical games. Physical activities and exercise can calm you down and provide many benefits to your mind and body. When you engage in regular exercise, you feel more upbeat, which in turn makes you feel better about yourself as well.

6.	Reward yourself when you achieve. When you’ve accomplished something in your life, whether big or small, it’s important to pause and reward yourself. If you go out of your way to make yourself happy, you’ll feed your drive to persevere and succeed.

7.	Use positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are a great way to boost self-confidence. They allow you to communicate with your subconscious mind, strengthening your confidence one thought at a time. Check out your local bookstore or online for some effective confidence-building affirmations.

8.	Avoid dwelling on the past. If you keep your past self-confidence issues in mind, it will be more difficult for you to get over them. Your past certainly doesn’t have to be your future. Focus on the present moment, with pleasant thoughts about your future. Picture everything going well.

You’ll soon find that there are endless ways to boost your self-confidence. And remember: If there’s something you want to pursue in life, go after it with all your heart and feel confident that success will be yours!

I’ve seen quite a few confidence building courses on the internet over the years, and I must say that there aren’t many that have managed to impress me. Most I’ve seen are simply rehashed from existing books on confidence, with nothing new to offer. It’s often the same old techniques, which have been used time and time again in different contexts in different books.

So when I got wind of Peak Confidence, I was naturally wary. The first thought that came to mind was, “Here we go, yet another rip-off out to make a couple of bucks.”

But you know the old saying: Never judge a book by its cover. This, of course, applies to eBooks as well. I gave the site a once-over, browsed through what it had to say, and honestly I was barely convinced to give it a try. The one decisive factor for me taking a chance on Peak Confidence was the fact that I had nothing to lose, considering I could always refund within 60 days (which I have done with quite a number of other products).

Actually, I was quite surprised by what I found.

Peak Confidence is in fact one of the more comprehensive confidence building courses I have ever come across. The first couple of chapters defines confidence and what it should mean for you as a person, and the qualities that one must have in order to be confident. It establishes the fact that confidence must begin from the inside, and in order for you to transform yourself into a more confident person, you must first understand yourself.

This eBook contains one of the most insightful content with regards to confidence building that I have read thus far, and it even goes on to take you by the hand and lead you, step by step, on how you can build confidence the effective way. Most other guides tend to show you ways on how to become confident faster, but these techniques rarely last. Peak Confidence shows you specific methods on how you can attain and maintain a heightened sense of confidence, without having it waver through the years or when you encounter circumstances that would usually have a detrimental effect on your sense of self.

The full complete package includes a Workbook that you can use to gauge your confidence building progress as you go along, and it’s really a nifty tool. I found it useful, especially for those with a considerable lack of self-confidence, because what the Workbook really is, is a key component in building up one’s confidence. After all, what better way to build confidence than physical evidence detailing your progress as you grow to be more confident each day?

As a bonus, the brains behind Peak Confidence (Victor Keith and Greg Frost) have included a free self-esteem eBook, which serves as a complement to the main Peak Confidence guide. As if the main guide wasn’t enough, “The Easy Guide To Building Self-Esteem” details more ways one can build confidence the effective way and achieve a greater sense of self worth at the end of the day. It’s a feel-good guide that teaches you how to be comfortable with yourself as a person, and how negative talk can affect your sense of self worth. It teaches you the essentials and importance of having a good sense of self worth, but at the same time how you can be a better person in the long run.

The bonus also includes a Confidence Booster Software, which works on the principles of Greg Frost’s exclusive subliminal technology. They claim that this software will instill a greater sense of confidence in you by broadcasting subliminal messages and embedding positive affirmations into your mind. The software does this by flashing the messages on your computer screen, and while I initially found this a little disconcerting, once I got used to it.

I’ve seen how effective this course is, because I’ve tried it myself and I’ve recommended it to others, and we’ve all seen considerable improvements to our confidence. The good thing about these kinds of courses is the fact that you’re able to save a ton of money from seminars and life coaches, and what’s great about Peak Confidence is that it is one of the rare few products out there that is really, really effective.

For $17.95, it really is great value for money, all things considered. You’re getting something that is potentially life-changing, and you won’t even have to shell out hundreds for someone to tell you the things you can read for yourself. It is definitely a product I would highly recommend if you’ve ever experienced a moment of self-doubt in your life.

Fighting the lack of self-confidence is an issue many would consider a winless battle. But with the proper ways on how to deal with it, you can build your self-confidence in a matter of time. Here are the tips you can do:

-	Feel good about yourself

Every morning, look at the mirror and say all the good things you can say about yourself. Also, taking care of yourself will make things easier for you if you want to build your self-confidence through this process. Eat right, exercise regularly, take enough rest, and be happy.

-	Do not be afraid to socialize

Socializing is one of the most effective ways to build your self-confidence. So don’t be afraid to approach different people and make new friends and business contacts. If at first you are afraid to talk to someone you don’t know, ask other people help you in the introduction and the initial conversation.

-	Beat your self-consciousness

The opposite of self-confidence is self-conscious so make sure you remove the self-conscious by removing the fear and anxiety out of your system. You can do this by diverting your attention away from the subject of your consciousness or by facing the fear head on.

-	Don’t think your case is hopeless

You can never build up self-confidence if you already think that you cannot do it. Remember that if you lack self-confidence today, you might carry it for the rest of your life. You just make yourself miserable in the process so for your own sake, be optimistic that you can change your present condition.

-	Reward yourself for the job done

Once you have finished your work right, reward yourself. You can buy something for yourself or take yourself out to dinner or in any way you want to.

-	Pick a role model

Pick someone who can be a model of self-confidence. It could be someone at your office, your boss perhaps. It could be any personality on the television or a public figure. But be careful on picking your model. You should learn something good about him or her.

-	Take responsibility

People who avoid taking responsibility are those who do not think they can get the job right. You are not one of them, do you? To build your self-confidence, you must learn how to take responsibility. It does not have to be big. Start with small tasks you can do and move from there.

-	Set goals and keep them realistic

Lack of self-confidence usually starts when you think you are not worthy to do task or you are incapable to finish task. So in order for you to change this thought, set personal goals which you can achieve. Small things such as following your daily regimen would do. Then, you can work your way into more difficult and complicated goals. The point is, take one notch higher after you have successfully get a thing done right.

-	Be positive

Don’t think of yourself as a worthless individual who could not do things right because you never look into the good side. Do not focus on the negative things that happen to your life. Instead, keep track of the good things you have achieved.

Apply all these to your life and before you know it, you are gaining self-confidence.
