Your dreams can give you hints about what’s going on in your subconscious.

Sleeping gives your mind much needed rest and allows your brain time to sort things out. What’s really on your mind may end up in your dreams as a way of coping with your thoughts.

Pay Attention To Your Dreams

Get into the habit of paying attention to what your dreams are telling you. They may seem wild and crazy at first, but if you break them down, you may find an important message hidden within.

If you have trouble remembering your dreams, keep a pen and paper next to your bed. You may be able to remember your dream immediately upon waking. If so, you can quickly jot down your thoughts before they’re lost. This technique also enables you to more fully capture the details of your dreams.

Common Dreams

Although the varieties of dreams are endless, many of us experience similar dream situations. They also have a common theme running through them that can help you in your dream analysis.

Here are some common dreams:

1.	Running away from a monster. In your dream, you run away from some kind of monster. It’s scary, but that monster could be representing a problem or hurdle that you need to overcome. Perhaps your mind is telling you that you should stop running away and face your fears instead.

2.	Falling. If you dream that you’re falling, you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common dreams. It could mean that you feel like you’re free falling in life. You might feel alone and like you have no one to support you or catch you when you fall.

3.	Drowning. Drowning isn’t quite as common, but still a dream that can occur frequently. Drowning could signify being overwhelmed. You could be overwhelmed with a certain situation or just in general. You may still be fighting or you may be ready to give up the fight.

4.	Feeling lost or stuck. If you’re lost in your dreams, it could be a physical manifestation of how you truly feel. It could signify your extreme confusion about something going on in your life.

5.	Naked in public. This dream is one that’s often mocked, but it’s not so funny when you are the one having it! You might find yourself in a position where you’re partially or fully naked in front of other people. This could mean that you’re afraid of revealing too much about yourself to someone or the public. You may also feel that you’ve already revealed too much.

Resolving Your Issue

Once you’ve figured out what your issue is, you’ve done the hard part. You can now concentrate on taking action to resolve it. For example, if you’re having bad dreams because you’ve been having trouble relaxing, you can make the effort to incorporate more relaxation in your day.

When you resolve the specific situation that’s causing you stress, you’ll find that your negative dreams disappear. You can then concentrate on analyzing your good dreams!

Is loneliness a challenge in your life? If so, it’s good to know that, with the right mindset and the drive to change, you can combat loneliness in any situation.

It’s okay to feel lonely. Sometimes it just happens. However, you have the power to decide whether you want to wallow in it or meet it head on. When you take decisive action to overcome your loneliness, you can have a smile back on your face in no time.

Here are some helpful strategies to beat loneliness:

1.	Avoid sitting around fretting. When you think about it, getting upset isn’t going to help you, so why do it? If you’re not actively looking for something to fill your time, you’ll find that loneliness catches up with you eventually. Even if you don’t have the company of others, you can seek out ways to use your time in fun and productive ways.

2.	Engage in a new hobby. If you’ve turned to your current hobbies and are still feeling lonely or bored, try to find something new and exciting. Explore a new hobby that you’ve always been meaning to try but haven’t had the time.

3.	Take a class. Taking a class is a good way to come into contact with others who have the same interests as you. So you get double benefits – you learn something new about a subject that interests you and meet new people you have something in common with as well.

4.	Volunteer to help others. When you’re feeling lonely, helping others can be a win-win situation. With volunteer activities, you do something great for the world and get some healthy human interaction in the process.

5.	Get a dog. Dogs are natural friend-finders. If you have a dog, take your dog out for frequent walks in your neighborhood, local dog park, or dog beach. If you don’t have a dog, consider getting one. Dogs help you break the ice with other dog-lovers.

•	There are many online groups of dog owners. Find one of these communities and get involved.

6.	Go to church or other spiritual places. You’ll likely find likeminded people at your place of prayer or worship. You may even start up a new relationship with a potential lifelong friend.

7.	Talk to strangers. Engage in some light chatter with strangers in public situations. For example, you can strike up a lively conversation while waiting in the grocery store line. Every person in that line is most likely as bored as you are. Pass the time together and you might even start a new friendship.

8.	Call a friend. Look up a friend or family member that you haven’t talked to in awhile and catch up with each other while reminiscing about old times. By the end of your conversation, a happy and nostalgic mood might have replaced the lonely one you were in before.

9.	Start a social group. You can start a social group around a topic that you enjoy. If you’re a stay at home mom, maybe you’ll want to connect with other moms. If you’re really into amateur guitar playing, maybe you’ll want to meet up and jam with some people. Explore different ways to socialize online or put up flyers at local hangout spots.

You’ll find that with the right attitude and some action, you don’t have to sit at home with your loneliness any longer. Use these techniques to meet new friends and enjoy exciting new experiences!

It’s hard to cope with the inevitable flood of emotions.

The truth is that your loved one wouldn’t want you to grieve forever. The best honor and dedication would be to lead the rest of your life in a happy and healthy manner. This is why it’s a good idea to cope with your loss after an appropriate amount of grieving time.

Consider the following tips for coping with loss:

1.	Be open. Your first reaction to loss may be to close up. You may need time alone to let your emotions out or be tempted to keep your emotions bottled inside. During the initial shock of the loss, follow your instincts toward whichever way helps you cope the best.

After the initial grieving, however, it helps to talk about your loss. Talk with others who are coping with the same loss to help you both. It may also help to discuss your feelings with people who are outside of the situation.

2.	Don’t be afraid to cry. Some people keep these emotions inside until it hurts. Men are also more likely to resist the urge to cry. While you might have trouble crying in front of others, if you need a good cry, it’s important to give yourself the chance to do so. The release is likely to make you feel better.

3.	Focus on the good. It’s so easy to allow your mind to think about what you didn’t get a chance to say or do. These thoughts make you feel worse and keep you in a somber mood. Instead, think about the good times you shared with your loved one. Think about the times you’ve laughed together. You can even get together with others and discuss the good times.

4.	Accept yourself. There’s no right way to grieve the loss of a loved one. You can read many articles and books on the subject, but eventually you’ll have to get through it the best way you know how. Familiarize yourself with the stages of grief; it may help you come to terms with your current feelings and to see where you are in the grieving process.

5.	Get help. If you’re barely getting through your day-to-day life, perhaps it’s time to seek some help from others. Look into local support groups for people who are going through a similar type of loss. You can even look for help from specially trained therapists or grief counselors.

6.	Remember your physical health. When you go through any type of psychological trauma, your physical health often suffers. Ensure you to take the time to look after yourself and your physical health. Exercising and feeding your body nutritious foods will help you stay healthy during this time.

The loss of a loved one is unlike anything else. Don’t be afraid to feel your emotions. Remember: take life one step at a time. These tips can help you get back on the road to healing so you can find your way back on your feet.

For long, man had a common perception that emotions have nothing to do with success. On extremes, many believed that they do not only interact negatively with our decision-making but may also cause us to fail.

There are various intelligence types that human has. And lack of one doesn’t actually imply failure in the general picture of life. Some are naturally endowed with higher I.Q. scores that make them in the advantage of having larger storage for information. Other people, on the other hand, have the special ability to truly discern themselves. This is what they call intrapersonal intelligence.

Emotional intelligence therefore is the ability to become sensitive to understand one’s own emotions and the emotions that observe from other people. This in the end will be consciously monitored to serve as determining factors in creating decisions and in putting up reactions to various stimuli.

Since we are dealing with the various aspects of emotions, it is pretty obvious that there is no gray line between emotions and emotional intelligence.

Emotions affect decision-making, our reactions to things, our moods, our sentiments, our general disposition in a given situation. Oftentimes, solutions do not come from the intellect. Too much thinking may even cause paralysis of the mind. This is largely due to the fact that when we think too much for a solution, our minds seem to clutter with answers that point to nowhere but to the beginning. Analysis takes time and when it does, it may allow time for the aggravation of problems.

It is not to discourage anyone from analyzing personal problems clearly. However, we want you not to enclose yourself with the idea of I.Q. alone. There is more to intelligence than using your cranial capacities in creating decisions.

We weren’t inherently equipped with emotions though. When we were born, we were likely to be blank white pages where various stimulus must be written before we ever find the concept of reactions to emotions. Only as we age and therefor exposed to spectrums of experiences do we learn to react with the different types of emotions.

This is probably the reason why when we were children, we had no fear or anxiety over tripping on the floor or doing something dangerous. After all, we still have no idea what fear is or what is anxiety or what are dangerous experiences.

Knowing the degree of your emotions and the various reactions that are created during specific conditions. Having enough knowledge of determining how well you cope up with given stimulation. And knowing what are the factors that will create the rise of emotions in you will all be helpful in gaining new insight of yourself.

Emotions are inevitable parts of our existence. And experts in the field have learned to evaluate emotion intelligence by determining its five domains.

Management of Emotions
This generally covers the ability to handle one’s emotions to fit a given condition. This also entails the proper mixture of emotions and the realization of what caused a specific reaction to arise.

Self-awareness
This is different from self criticism mainly in the manner by which specific emotions are determined. It is the systematic observance of oneself to recognize feelings and moods as they happen.

Self Motivation
This is evident in delayed gratification, in positive use of emotions to channel emotions into goals, and in over-all self control.

Empathy
This is basically the sensitivity to other people’s feelings and perspectives of things.

Handling of Relationships
This is one dimension of social intelligence, which is closely intertwined with emotional intelligence since it covers the management of emotions to retain and harmonize relationships.
